First steps
This topic provides information to administrators who are ready to set up device management with KACE Cloud for the first time. Organizations can employ KACE Cloud to manage a wide range of devices running on various platforms, and to ensure their users can securely access their apps, resources, data, and email. For each type of platform you want to manage, ranging from Android, iOS, macOS, to Windows, there are easy-to-use guidelines you must follow to quickly enroll your target devices and implement your business needs.
Start by establishing access to KACE Cloud portal. When the administrator logs in to the portal, there are a few baseline tasks that we recommend completing in a particular order. These tasks depend on the type of the OS your managed devices are running: Android, iOS and macOS, and Windows. Ensure you complete the initial flow for each type of OS running on your target devices:
- Managing Android devices
- Managing Apple devices
- Managing Windows devices
- Managing Registered devices
Next, create user accounts, enroll devices, set up default policies, then create applicable configurations. The following sections provide detailed guidelines on what you need to do to start managing your target devices with KACE Cloud.
